This program offers students the opportunity to enroll in up to 5 levels of Intensive Professional Thai Massage courses (2-5 weeks) at the (TMC) Thai Massage School of Chiang Mai in Thailand or (ITM) International Training Massage School. Graduates of 5 levels will earn a diploma of: Intensive Professional Thai Massage 150 Hour Program. After the completion of the 5 level massage courses, the students will continue to learn about the life style of local Thai’s including cooking healthy Thai food, local cultural tours, and trekking.

Level 1

Students will acquire original Thai Massage skills for personal benefit and will lay strong foundations for further study at higher levels. Students learn hands-on techniques to relieve tension, fatigue, stimulate circulation, and restore vitality in the entire body through Thai massage pressure points. A brief background of Thai massage ethics and Sensib theory will be discussed.

Level 2

Students will obtain more confidence and strengthen the techniques learned from Level 1. Teacher assists student to obtain the right speed of massage for the 134 positions from Level I. Students will learn additional variation techniques in order to produce different pressure effects.

Level 3

Students will learn hands-on skills in ancient pressure-point massage to relieve common ailments; demonstration of how to apply Thai Massage to special need people i.e. sick individuals, elderly or children. Students will also be involved in actual production of herbal packs from fresh herbs and learn the application technique to relieve discomfort and restore energy. Discussion on Thai massage professional ethics will also be included.

Level 4 and Level 5

Students will learn to massage with integration of all 3 levels (1-2-3). Students practice under close teacher supervision to facilitate massage techniques with correct sequences, speed, and time limits. Discussion of professional ethics, massage planning and contraindication of massage will also be included.

TMC and ITM are accredited by the Thai Ministry of Public Health, Thai Ministry of Education, Thai Ministry of Labor, College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia (CMT BC CANADA), CDL UK, AMTWP CANADA, AAMT AUSTRALIA, and NCBTMB USA.
