As the crossroads of Southeast Asia, Malaysian is home to a very diverse and rich blend of cultures. This is evidenced by its thriving trade, a multiracial population and larger modernized citied like Kuala Lumpur.

During their stay students will see the Twin Towers of the capital city, hear calls to prayer from the local Islam Mosques and sample a cuisine that is heavily influenced by India and China. We will also climb 272 stairs to visit the Batu Caves, spend time in an old British settlement on Penang Island and explore the beautiful architecture of famous palaces, forts and shrines. Students will also fall in love with the country’s tropical beaches, lush jungles and emerald green mountains.

Like the people of Thailand, Malaysians are very friendly and hospitable. With English taught in most of the public schools, it will be easy for our students to get around in the cities and markets with their own language but the locals are always excited to hear the students use Malay. If they are courageous enough to try speaking, our students will quickly learn that even their mistakes are greeted with smiles and encouragement
